What's your favorite Jose Rizal travel story?

A horse-drawn caretela in Intramuros, Manila

Jose Rizal Travels was borne out of an unforgettable trip to a historic site, Intramuros. I am sure many of you have, at some point, stories to tell, too, of places that have in some way, a connection to him.

Modern day Filipino historian Ambeth Ocampo confessed to building his entire career on Rizal. He has written volumes digging, sleuthing on the life of the national hero and, of course, has traveled extensively to places where Rizal had set foot. As always, he came home with exciting stories, interesting facts. Such was the hero's impact on him.

Do you have an interesting story about places associated with Jose Rizal? Please share them with us!

Jose Rizal Travels is about places that have connections to the hero. Have you visited any of these places? Do you have interesting stories to tell? Which are your favorite?

Do you have any unforgettable accounts or experiences of these places? Memorable vacations, holidays, trips? Do you have some tips, advice, recommendations? Have you discovered something worth sharing with travel enthusiasts? Do tell, please!
